June Round-Up
Summer is officially here, and June was a busy one.
We started the month at the launch of the Drizzle Cookbook and the Olive Oil Bar Pop-up by Citizens of Soil. If you don’t know them already, they source beautiful olive oil from small farms across Europe and beyond. It was a gorgeous evening catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones. The Tomatini by 58 & Co was a highlight, as was Maria, their first producer, bringing homemade dolmades.
Back at Palm Greens in The Sanctuary, co-working with Daisy of Self Hood and several new co-work groups brought a new mid-week buzz to the space.
We catered canapé parties large and small this month, braving the rain at Netil 360, which honestly just made it more memorable.
We loved catering the Uniqlo sustainability round table, bringing a beautiful seasonal canapé menu alongside a stunning British pet nat from Westwell Wines and other small B-Corp drinks brands.
We are also officially on the list of caterers for Dulwich Picture Gallery, which is significant for a small business like ours.
Our jazz nights have been selling out, and June’s was no exception. The room was full, the vibes were high. This is exactly why we started these evenings.
Just before the launch of our Sayuri collaboration menu, we hosted a Sayuri x X-Club brunch: a challenging class with X-Club to kick things off, followed by a sit-down brunch showcasing the new menu - think matcha clouds, green farinata, big Palm Greens salad - with a table of ambitious and like-minded women in food and drink. Loved it. Followed this with a private dinner catered - some private cheffing on the side by me.
Mem and I also snuck off to a wedding in France for one of our best friends. And yes, there was Palm Greens habanero oil on the table.
To round it out, I (Kali) have been completely obsessed with the produce coming in right now. Vesuvio tomatoes from Natoora, berries and candy beets from Shrub, as well as Lemon Verbena and fresh camomile! I cannot wait to build more menus around what’s arriving in July.
Including - our collaboration with Dabbadrop - 16th July
We’re coming together to create a beautiful dinner, Dabbadrop flavours - the flavours of Mumbai - made in Kali aka Palm Greens’ style. Expect big, mouthwatering, vibrant flavours, gorgeous produce from Shrub.
Each course will be served the way it should be - in the dabba.
